Full-time teachers K-12
may volunteer for short term substitute coverage in lieu of their preparation or lunch periods. Implementation of this provision shall be at the discretion of the building principal.
Kindergarten/Elementary: from the first period for which the teacher provided such voluntary substitute coverage- the rate set forth for long term period coverage in Schedule 11-A.
Secondary: for the first five periods for which the teacher provided such voluntary coverage- one-half (1/2) the rate of pay set forth for long term coverage in Schedule 11-A.
Volunteers shall be selected on a rotational basis with the records of such service open to all parties for review.
