On June 1, FFT members joined American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten at Senator Carl Marcellino's office in Oyster Bay, where we pushed him to support S.8301, a bill that will decouple student test scores from teacher evaluations. Although the bill has 55 sponsors, Senator John Flanagan is not letting it come up for a vote. NYSUT is asking that all teachers click here and contact his office to let him know that we want this bill passed.
