We finally have some consistent warm weather and we find ourselves coming to the end of another school year. For some of us, this was a year of new beginnings, either as a brand new teacher to Farmingdale, or as a veteran teacher in a new building. For those who experienced the "new," as well as to those more seasoned teachers, I hope you found success and fulfillment in your position. The year was a productive one for all of us, with the ratification of our contract and the feeling of solidarity we experienced as we strove to achieve that goal. As I near the end of my first year as your president, I would like to thank you all for your support and friendship. I want to thank you for also being so willing to stay union strong by signing your union recommitment cards. As of today we have 96% of our cards completed and we are working hard to get to 100% as soon as possible. Let's continue to keep the true sense of unionism alive and well in Farmingdale as we work together for our common goals. Enjoy your summer, relax, revive, and renew.
