On Tuesday 2/28 at 5pm NYSUT will be hosting a Black History Month Program sponsored by the Office of Social Justice. You can find the link for how to view it on the NYSUT Social Justice page.
This year the NYSUT Celebrate Black History NYSUT posters feature Serena Williams and Fredrick Douglas. Serena Williams, widely considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time and Frederick Douglass who, after escaping from slavery in Maryland, became a national leader in the abolitionist movement.
