Take Action On Your School Building Maximum Temperature

Take action now at the NYSUT Member Action Center to ask lawmakers to establish an unsafe maximum room temperature in school buildings to help keep students, teachers, and staff safe! Current law provides for a minimum temperature in school buildings to ensure the health and safety of a school's occupants but does not mandate a maximum temperature. With your help we are pushing for passage of legislation to establish an unsafe maximum room temperature in school buildings and to require schools to take action - up to and including early dismissal/emergency evacuation.
